Job Description

AmeriPro Roofing a national leader in Roofing and exterior remodeling is immediately hiring a Training Specialist for our Training and Development Department!  For the first 90 days this position is on-site at our corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, IL.  After 90 days we offer a hybrid remote schedule. The Training Specialist is instrumental in educating and leading the onboarding experience for new sales reps.

The Training & Development Department is responsible for administering the training program and materials for all new hires starting employment for all roles, predominantly the Outside Sales position which has weekly training classes!  This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance.  

 

Compensation and Benefits:    

• Salary $55,000 to $65,000 / year

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conducts national training and development program via Microsoft teams   

• Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.  

• Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of resources.  

• Assists Managers and others involved in employee development efforts.  

• Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.  

• Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.  

• Works effectively as a team member and subordinate to Director of Training & Development  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

• Strong presentation skills.  

• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods  
  
   

Education and Experience:  

• Equivalent combination of education and experience preferred 

• 3-5 years’ experience in a training & development role 

• Previous experience Presenting on Microsoft Teams or Zoom strongly preferred 

• Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred not required  

• Hands on experience, documenting, and implementing a training manual/program  

• Previous experience training Outside Sale representatives and or the Roofing or Home Improvement Industry preferred not required.
