Job Description

AvantGarde, LLC (AG) is seeking a Training and Development Coordinator to support accessing data, preparing reports, and coordinating training and development activities to meet workforce development and training needs.

The Work

  • Coordinate event logistics and assist in the delivery of training and onboarding across departments to ensure attendance, including facilitating onboarding activities as needed.

  • Monitor all mandatory training requirements, report on delinquent statuses, and update the learning management system (LMS) and other personnel tracking systems.

  • Extract and analyze data, prepare reports, and provide supervisors with employee status updates for required training and developmental activities.

  • Enter course data into the LMS, schedule courses, send invitations and reminders, register participants, and provide administrative support for multiple workforce development programs.

  • Coordinate with departments regarding registrations for government-led training such as Defense Acquisition University (DAU) and Cyber Security Workforce courses.

  • Provide support for special projects and meetings related to strategic planning and workforce shaping. Assist with the acquisition and support of commercially available training that meets organizational needs.

  • Assist with the annual organizational workforce development needs assessment, including analysis of inputs such as Individual Development Plans (IDPs), business plan inputs, customer needs, environmental trends, and organizational strategies.

The Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 5 years of relevant experience in the private sector, non-profit, or government; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Ability to pass a background investigation and clearance process.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with others.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and customer service skills, with proven experience drafting formal documents.

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with SharePoint.

  • Experience using an LMS preferred.

  • Flexible approach to work delivery.

  • Willingness to work onsite in Philadelphia, PA, with some potential for telework as approved.

  • Ability to operate a PC in an office environment; primarily sedentary work with some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment as required.
