Job Description

Missouri Military Academy is looking for an energetic, innovative college student to fill an available
summer internship in the Academy’s Office of Marketing and Communications. This position provides a unique opportunity to build a student’s resume and photography portfolio and to gain professional experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Room and board may be available for this full-time, paid internship. Inquire for details!

Internship runs from June 4 through July 18 (start and end dates may be slightly flexible).

Responsibilities:

• Photography during MMA summer camps, following our campers in their active days and evenings
• Contribute to social media platforms, sharing photos to update families on their campers’ activities
• Assist with online photo and video galleries
• Assist with video slideshow creation for final camp ceremonies
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications

The ideal candidate may be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in photography, art,
communications, public relations, marketing or graphic design.

• Experience with various social media platforms.
• Excellent photography skills
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proficiency in computer skills and applications, including Microsoft Office. Adobe CS experience is a plus.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and in an individual capacity
• Interest in furthering the cause of a nonprofit educational institution and broadening the experience of young people.
• Ability to commit 40 hours per week, with a flexible structure.
• A willingness to be creative and have fun at work!

Compensation: $15/hour. Room and board in residence hall may be available.
