This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

The Data Entry Unit in the Registration Services Branch is looking for a Senior Motor Vehicle Technician (SMVT) to play a crucial role in processing key DMV transactions. In this role, you will handle vehicle registration (VR) and driver license (DL) renewals, convert paper renewals into digital records using large scanning equipment, and prepare payments for electronic deposit while ensuring accuracy and security. You will also perform quality assurance (QA) checks to maintain data integrity and lead small teams, train team members, and collaborate with team leaders to enhance workflow and improve operations. Working Conditions

Works in a climate-controlled office environment in a cubicle under artificial lighting with exposure to computer screens, basic office equipment, large scanners and mail sorters. Sits in a processing area with loud noise.
