Heavy Civil Project Manager
A successful Pittsburgh area heavy civil construction company is growing and actively searching for an experienced and skilled Heavy Civil Project Manager with expertise in bridge construction. As a Heavy Civil Project Manager , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and successfully delivering bridge construction projects within the heavy civil sector. With 3- 10 years of relevant experience , your knowledge and leadership will be instrumental in achieving project goals and ensuring exceptional quality.
Responsibilities :
* Lead and manage all aspects of bridge construction projects, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines.
* Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules that align with project objectives.
* Oversee the procurement of necessary materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring the highest quality at the best value.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
* Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures to ensure profitability and minimize project risks.
* Coordinate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential challenges.
* Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, promoting client satisfaction, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for future collaborations.
* Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
* Conduct thorough project reviews and evaluations upon project completion, identifying lessons learned and implementing process improvements for future projects.
Requirements:
* 3-10 years of experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil construction, with a specific focus on bridge construction.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of bridge construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering complex bridge projects on time and within budget.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide project teams to achieve project objectives.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools to effectively plan, monitor, and control project activities.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
* Demonstrated ability to navigate challenges and solve problems in a proactive and efficient manner.
* Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and commitment to promoting a culture of safety on construction sites.
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
