Black Bear Talent is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of plant operations. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production, maintain high safety and quality standards, and lead a team of professionals in delivering exceptional products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management :

• Oversee the production operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Optimize production processes to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
• Monitor equipment and ensure proper maintenance to avoid downtime.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, operators, and staff.
• Build a positive work environment that fosters collaboration and accountability.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Cost Management:

• Manage budgets and control costs, including labor, materials, and utilities.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.

Quality and Food Safety:

• Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and other food safety regulations.
• Maintain high-quality standards for food products, ensuring consistency.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address issues and implement corrective actions.

Safety and Compliance:

• Enforce workplace safety programs to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Develop and execute strategies to improve production capacity and streamline processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant management, preferably in food production.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, USDA).
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of production equipment and processes in the food industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar).
