Job Description

TruCare Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases is a multi-specialty private practice specializing in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Wound Care. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Physician Assistant to join our expanding clinical team.

Position Overview:
The Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of board-certified physicians, managing patients across our internal medicine, infectious disease, and wound care services. This role requires a blend of critical thinking, hands-on procedural skills, and a strong interest in chronic condition management.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds (including pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds)
  • Perform wound care procedures including debridement, dressing changes, and negative pressure therapy application
  • Diagnose and treat common infectious diseases, including cellulitis, osteomyelitis, and post-operative infections
  • Manage chronic conditions as part of internal medicine services
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and cultures
  • Provide patient and family education related to wound healing, disease management, and infection prevention
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical practices, procedures, and advancements in healthcare.
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators for comprehensive treatment planning

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Experience in wound care, internal medicine, or infectious disease strongly preferred (new grads with relevant rotations welcome)
  • Excellent interpersonal and clinical decision-making skills
  • BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)

Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday 8am-4:30pm
  • Friday 8am- 12pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
