Job Description

Commonpoint's Tanenbaum Fitness Center is seeking certified Personal Trainers to create safe and effective individualized plans for guiding our members in achieving their fitness goals. Personal Trainers are key members of our Health & Wellness team and will report to the Senior Director of the Health & Wellness Department. Qualified candidates should be certified personal trainers who have experience working with various ages and populations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate small group and individual fitness classes and sessions. 
• Provide fitness education for safe and effective activity 
• Motivate and encourage individuals to begin and continue healthy behaviors 
• Achieve measurable results 
• Engaging in prospecting activities to build clientele 
• Hitting and exceeding sales and revenue goals 
• Lead individuals and small group programs 
• Provide encouragement and expertise for client support of their health and well-being goals 

Requirements:

• Experience in designing and implementing safe and effective exercise 
• NCAA-according and/or recognized Personal Training Certificate 
• CPR/AED and First Aid 
• Ability to connect, engage, and educate clientele 

Available Hours:

• Sunday through Saturday (all shifts) 
• Part-time up to 19 hours per week; varied hours 

Salary: $40 per hour for personal training or group fitness class 

$18/hr for cold calling, administrative or supervising work 

Incentive-based salary as discussed: 

• Starting at $40/hour for 1-hour weekly training sessions for clients 1-10. 
• For 11-15 clients per week - $45/hr 
• For 15+ clients per week - $50/hr
