This role is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a short-term acute care teaching hospital setting. The RN will perform a variety of duties related to patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, collaborating with the surgical team and utilizing electronic charting systems.

Responsibilities:
- Providing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients.
- Preparing operating rooms and ensuring appropriate equipment and supplies are available.
- Assisting surgeons and other members of the surgical team during procedures.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely in the electronic health record (Epic).
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintaining a safe and sterile operating room environment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of hospital experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (preferred).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in an operating room setting.
- Advanced certifications relevant to surgical nursing.
Special Considerations:
- Shift work is required, with a schedule of 9:00 AM/11:00 AM to 5:30 PM/9:30 PM, with flexibility as needed.
- This is a short-term acute care teaching hospital environment.
- First-time US travelers must have Epic experience.
