Job Description

Our client is looking to fill the role of IT Support Specialist. The assignment is onsite in NYC, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, 35 hours/week (1 hour unpaid lunch),    After a few weeks of training, the work schedule will change to an evening/weekend schedule Monday-Wednesday 2pm-10pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am-5pm 35 hours/week (1 hour unpaid lunch),    

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support and non-technical support to the faculty, students, staff and other end-users who have access to systems.
• Resolves technology related problems, monitors and installs software and hardware, manages general administrative issues and provide a wide range of IT services.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in system and administration required. 
• Must have experience with setting up of hardware, software, printers, Windows Server 2019, Active Directory  (how to set up) and Microsoft 365, Database, Networking - TCP/IP, difference between static and dynamic IP, sub netting, what is an IP address, DNS, VLAN. 
• Microsoft and Cisco certifications preferred.  
• Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to multi-task and manage priorities. 
• Must possess good communication and customer service skills.  Experience working in a higher education environment and scripting (PowerShell and Visual Basic) are a plus.
