We are looking for a confident, self-motivated, flexible team player to join our busy finance team and offer key support for the Head of Finance with the financial management, control and reporting for a key group within the business.

This role will be based at the Head Office in Clevedon.

About the Role

  • Develop processes to ensure timely and technically accurate forecast and financial information.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the group.
  • Develop processes and systems to enable to analysis of costs of goods and production along with variances.
  • Provide support to Project Managers ensuring all processes are understood and followed correctly.
  • Provide and manage any contractual financial information for example quarterly reports.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Profitability analysis on levels, variance analysis and ad hoc analysis.
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain and procurement teams.
  • Set up and maintain standard costing models to reflect accurate costs.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and support with audit preparations.

About You

You should hold a recognised accountancy qualification and have demonstrated relevant experience within an accounting department, showing a track record of ability to implement high standards of financial control and financial management information reporting.

  • Experience of using Microsoft Business Central
  • Experience of best practice manufacturing accounting
  • Experience of best practice contract accounting
  • Analytical and able to use standard tools (financial systems and MS Excel spreadsheets)
