Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Field Technician / Special Inspector to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction materials testing and special inspections, with current certifications in
OSHA 10, NAQTC, and ACI . Any
ICC certifications are considered a strong bonus and will be highly valued. This role involves fieldwork at construction sites, performing various inspections and materials testing in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Conduct special inspections as required for structural components, reinforcing steel, post-installed anchors, etc.
- Prepare and maintain accurate, detailed reports and documentation of all inspections and tests.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Travel to job sites as needed and work in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications: - Available Full-Time with flexibility for early mornings or extended hours as needed.
- Valid OSHA 10 certification.
- Current NAQTC (Nevada Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction) certification.
- ACI (American Concrete Institute) certification in Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications: - One or more ICC (International Code Council) certifications (e.g., Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, Soils, etc.).
- Experience with construction site protocols and QA/QC procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
