Role Embedded Software Developer (Steering)
Location Peoria, IL
Duration: 12+Months
Responsibilities:
Develop control algorithms and embedded software for electro-hydraulic and autonomous steering systems.
Integrate steering controls with hydraulics, power systems, and machine interfaces.
Tune and calibrate algorithms on machines to improve steering performance.
Perform model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink.
Conduct on-machine and bench-level testing using tools like CANape.
Define system requirements and troubleshoot technical issues.
Collaborate with global teams and support junior engineers.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred).
Experience in embedded control development (automotive/off-highway preferred).
Strong in MATLAB/Simulink and electro-hydraulic systems.
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, CAN bus, and functional safety.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; familiarity with heavy equipment operation.
