Location:  On-Site at NEW Gymreapers’ HQ in Nampa, ID (20 mins outside Boise, ID)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (flex according to business needs)
Reports To: CEO

Position Overview:

The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the creation, execution, and optimization of all email marketing campaigns for Gymreapers. This role requires a combination of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of email marketing best practices to craft effective and personalized email experiences that build strong relationships with our customers and boost revenue.

As part of this role, you will write and manage our monthly content newsletter, manual email campaigns, and automated flows and expansions. You’ll work directly with other teams such as Marketing, Design, and Ecommerce to execute on-brand campaigns on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Campaign Strategy & Execution:

  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns across various segments (e.g., promotional, transactional, retention).
  • Implement comprehensive growth strategies to accelerate Gymreapers’ customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth with a focus on both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies for email list segmentation and personalization to ensure maximum engagement.
  • Oversee the design and production of emails, ensuring they are aligned with brand guidelines and optimized for performance.

Content Creation & Optimization:

  • Work closely with the content and design teams to create compelling email copy, visuals, and calls-to-action.
  • Optimize email content for deliverability, readability, and engagement, including mobile and desktop responsiveness.

Automation & Workflows:

  • Set up and maintain automated email sequences for customer lifecycle stages (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, re-engagement).
  • Continuously test and optimize automation flows to improve conversion rates and overall customer experience.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Analyze the performance of email campaigns (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports on email marketing performance, with actionable insights to inform future campaigns.
  • A/B test email subject lines, content, design, and CTAs to improve engagement and sales.
List Management & Growth:
  • Manage and grow the email subscriber list by ensuring effective lead generation and sign-up strategies.
  • Maintain email list hygiene, ensuring compliance with best practices, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Develop strategies to improve customer retention, including email marketing, loyalty programs, and targeted campaigns to maximize lifetime value.
  • Manage channel budgets to ensure that individual channels do not over spend or underspend.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
  • Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure email marketing campaigns align with overall business objectives and product launches.
  • Provide support for seasonal promotions, special events, and new product introductions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • 4(+) years of experience in email marketing, preferably in e-commerce or fitness-related industries.
  • Proven track record of managing successful email marketing campaigns with measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign) and automation tools.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email template customization (basic knowledge required).
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging content that resonates with the fitness community.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and interpret email metrics to optimize future campaigns.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (Google Analytics, CRM platforms, etc.), A/B testing, and optimizing conversion funnels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • A passion for fitness and an understanding of Gymreapers’ brand and audience is a plus.
