Director of Operations – Legal Intake & Lawsuit Management

 

Position Summary:

 

The Huron Law Group Director of Operations – Legal Intake and Lawsuit Management provides strategic and day-to-day leadership across the firm’s Case Management, Filing, Hearing, and Resolution operations. This role ensures that departmental workflows, performance metrics, and compliance standards are aligned with organizational goals, while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency. By leveraging data, cross-functional collaboration, and process innovation, the Director supports scalable growth and sustained performance across operations functions.

 

The Director of Operations – Legal Intake and Lawsuit Management will report directly to the Senior Vice President.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Operational Leadership Across Core Functions: Directly oversee Operations Managers responsible for Case Management, Filing, Hearing, and Resolution teams. Indirectly guide the performance of Supervisors, Coordinators, and Case Managers to ensure consistent execution, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals.

• Align Cross-Functional Strategies with Organizational Objectives: Partner closely with the SVP, Director of Litigation, and the Director of Operations – Administrative and Program Management to ensure operational workflows support key performance metrics, compliance standards, and long-term business goals.

• Translate Strategic Vision into Operational Execution: Lead the development and implementation of department-level initiatives that bring strategic priorities to life. Ensure process documentation is clear, current, and accessible by maintaining Standard Operating Procedures in the company’s policy management system.

• Drive Process Improvement and Operational Excellence: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, recommending enhancements, and executing process innovations. Encourage proactive problem-solving and collaborative feedback loops across teams.

• Leverage Data to Inform Decisions and Enhance Performance: Analyze operational and performance KPIs to identify trends, guide business decisions, and support key recommendations. Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform both day-to-day management and long-term planning.

• Implement Scalable, Data-Driven Solutions: Identify recurring operational challenges and implement scalable systems or technologies that improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and support team productivity. Champion innovation while maintaining a strong foundation of consistency and reliability.

• Establish, Monitor, and Report on KPIs: Develop and manage key departmental performance indicators. Regularly report on progress to leadership, using metrics to evaluate effectiveness, advocate for resourcing, and drive continuous alignment with company benchmarks and priorities.

• Ensure Regulatory and Policy Compliance: Promote and enforce strict adherence to internal policies, legal and ethical standards, and industry-specific regulations. Conduct regular reviews to ensure workflows remain compliant and responsive to any regulatory or business changes.

Qualifications & Requirements

 

Education & Experience

 

• Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 2 years in a Director-level role, or 8 years in a Manager-level role within organizational development, legal operations, or a related field.

• Proven track record in leading employee engagement, retention, and professional development programs—preferably within a high-volume operations or legal services environment.

• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, leading change initiatives, and implementing scalable processes during periods of growth.

 

Operational & Technical Expertise

 

• Solid knowledge of industry standards, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.

• Analytical aptitude including forecasting, risk and cost-benefit analysis, and the ability to extract and analyze performance data.

• Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate KPIs and analytics into actionable improvements.

• Technical proficiency in the areas of database management, production automation, and Microsoft Office (functions, pivot tables, charts, presentation and template design, navigation, archivization, proofreading, and editing)

• Familiarity with Salesforce, including interpreting reports, understanding workflows, and collaborating with technical teams to enhance efficiency.

• Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) or similar organizational models is a plus.

• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support cultural and structural evolution in a dynamic environment.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for oversight and strategic leadership of Operations Managers across multiple teams.

Work Environment:

This position is currently a remote work position. Some travel may be required.
