Work Type: Contractor, Hybrid (On-site at WHQ; option to WFH Fridays)
Marketplace Pay Rate: USD $47.89 / hr
Summary
Nike is looking for someone with demand planning experience to forecast soccer for the North America geography. The focus will be on footwear with a small amount of branded apparel. Experience in forecasting, retail math, and stakeholder management are key to success in this role.

Degree preferred, not required
3-5 years’ experience minimum in a demand planning role
Hands-on forecasting/planning experience required
Excel expertise required
Experience with other planning tools preferred
Good communication & storytelling skills required
Collaborative with strong stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience:
Experience with larger/similar brands (Nike, Kroger, Adidas, etc.)
Willingness to work on NAM Soccer forecasting for USA/Canada total marketplace
Team structure: 3 others reporting into Hiring Manager; cross-functional work with finance, sales, merchandising

Key Responsibilities:
Establish end-to-end bottom-up assortment plans partnering with Merchandising, Sales, and Business Planning
Create pre-season style color plans supporting Nike’s goals
Manage in-season optimization and seasonal rolling forecasts with account planning teams
Leverage statistical forecasting, data science, and innovative methods to improve planning decisions
Demonstrate expertise in assortment planning, financial, product, and inventory planning
Influence and communicate effectively using data-driven storytelling
Think critically to assess style potential in the marketplace and quantify financial plan gaps
Problem-solve and develop accurate plans optimizing trade-offs and outcomes
Understand consumer and marketplace trends
Present financial plans, forecasts, and strategies in key meetings
Develop seasonal plans and monthly forecasts including sales, margin, and inventory at the style-color level
Partner with stakeholders across Geo and Global to optimize business health
Recap and analyze business against forecasts, manage in-season sales and inventories
Support monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management
Actively manage product close-outs and aging inventory in partnership with account teams
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred (alternatives: PhD or Law +1 yr; Master’s + 0-3 yrs)
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience directly relevant in demand planning
Strong demand planning, forecasting, retail math, and stakeholder management skills
Hands-on experience with Excel; other planning tools preferred
Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
