Toft Dairy in Sandusky, Ohio is seeking Delivery Truck Drivers with a Class A or Class B CDL license with a minimum of 3 years experience and current medical card for delivering milk and ice cream products to our clients. As Ohio oldest dairy since our beginning 125 years ago, Toft's dairy products have been a North Central Ohio favorite. The family tradition of delivering quality products, along with quality customer service remains a top priority. In maintaining a strong quality focus, the right candidate(s) must be dependable and hardworking, along with having a positive customer service attitude.
Routes range within 150 miles or so from Sandusky, OH and all routes leave from Toft Dairy (3717 Venice Road Sandusky, OH) between 1 AM to 4 AM to meet our customer's delivery requirements. Toft's delivery drivers enjoy a 40+ hr/wk., while being home every night and having weekends off. Following a 60-day initial period, Medical Insurance is available with Rx Drug coverage, and supplemental benefits after 90-days. Additional benefits include... vacation time, sick pay, paid holiday time-off. 401(k) is offered the first day of employment with a company match after 6 months of continued employment. Supplemental benefits (employee paid) through Principal and/or AFLAC are offered at the completion of the 90-day probation period.
Qualifications:
Must be reliable / dependable (punctuality is a must)
Must have a positive attitude and pleasant disposition
Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service
Must be able to pass DOT Physical Exam
Must be able to pass initial and random drug testing
Must be able to pass a background check
Ability to drive a 10-speed standard
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
Ability to follow written and oral directions
Ability to read and interpret policies/procedures (Food Safety, General Safety, HR, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
Climbing in & out of truck
Sitting for periods of time while operating hand & foot controls
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to push/pull loaded pallet jack and/or 2 wheeled hand-truck
Lifting, stacking, carrying is required
Ability to work in cold temperatures
Ability to balance on slippery walking surfaces (especially during winter conditions)
Equipment:
Straight trucks & tractor trailers with lift gate
Pallet jack / 2 wheeled hand-truck
