Job Description

The CHIPS Network, Inc in Oakland, MD is immediately looking to hire an IT technician who will work primarily in the office. The position will consist of diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of customer devices/networks, handling walk ins, answer incoming tech calls, remote assistance and more. This is a customer facing position. A strong customer service focus and the ability to interact at all levels within the organization is key. If you are new to the IT field or have intermediate experience, we are willing to train the right candidate. The right candidate will be driven, eager to learn, a self-starter and have great customer service skills.

The starting rate is $19-$22, based on experience. Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm. We are located at 12978 Garrett Hwy, Oakland MD 21550.

Responsibilities

• Provide computer repair, mobile repair and help address support tickets efficiently from our main office location
• Customer service via phone, remotely and in person
• Scheduling appointments
• Maintain an organized workspace
• Merchandise Receiving- must be able to bend, lift up to 50lb, stoop and sit
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Preferred associate degree or work experience
• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Basic IT knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair PC's is highly valued.
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Interpersonal skills, honest, dependable, time management, critical thinking and decision-making skills
