RMC is hiring for a Computer Hardware Engineer, Advanced who will provide support to an DoD environment at Patuxent River, MD.  

The selected applicant will possess:  

• Performs programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guide the engineering development of modern complex systems
• Employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems and when appropriate,
• Conduct research in applied systems engineering to advance the field.
• Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
• Has experience in computer systems / networks design across physical platforms, boundaries, and data transfer/transport methods.
• May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.
• May oversee or inspect the performance and quality of junior or journey level employees.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure configuration control procedures are followed for all work activities.

• Document maintenance, repair and test activities.

• Perform DISA STIG compliance measures across multiple environments.

Requirements

Education Requirement:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering related field
• 7 years of experience in related infrastructure network and system engineering work is required. 

Certification Requirement:

• The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE equivalent, or greater).

Clearance Requirement:

• An  active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to start. 

• Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $115,000 to $154,000 (annually).
