Job Description

Summary: At The Sagamore, the Doorman is more than just a greeter — they serve as a Lobby Ambassador, setting the tone for the guest experience from the moment of arrival. This role requires a warm, engaging presence, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to keeping our lobby pristine and welcoming. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Greet all guests upon arrival and departure with a warm, genuine welcome. Always open doors for both entering and exiting guests. • Serve as the face of the resort, providing a strong first impression and building rapport with guests through friendly, professional conversation. • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the lobby area, including: o Fluffing pillows o Picking up any trash or debris o Removing used glasses or dishes

  • Ensure the lobby fire remains consistently lit and presentable throughout your shift.
  • Be attentive to guests’ needs and surroundings at all times, offering assistance before
being asked. • Provide directions and guidance around the resort, demonstrating full knowledge of amenities, events, and locations.
  • Assist with the delivery of items when needed (amenities, luggage, guest requests).
  • Help pass out champagne to guests when the front desk line becomes long to enhance the
arrival experience. • Assist the front desk team with restocking essential items such as champagne glasses, key cards, paper, and other supplies. • Collaborate with the bell and front desk teams to ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures.
  • Remain professional in appearance and communication at all times.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
Qualifications
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Confident, engaging personality with excellent communication skills
  • Passion for hospitality and guest interaction
  • Reliable and proactive, with attention to detail in both guest service and space upkeep
